LI TONGXIA准教授

Tongxia (Larry) Li is an Associate Professor of Finance and Accounting at the School of Business Administration, Hitotsubashi University. His research examines how labor market frictions, regulatory environments, and intangible capital shape corporate financial decision-making, with implications for firms' financial reporting, investment, financing, and operational policies.
Li received his Ph.D. in Finance from Deakin University and his Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Finance from the University of Sydney. He joined Hitotsubashi University in 2023 and was promoted to a tenured Associate Professor in 2026.
His work has been published in international journals, including the Journal of Banking and Finance, European Financial Management, Accounting and Finance, International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics, Advances in Accounting, Economics & Politics, Financial Research Letters, and Review of Managerial Science, among others. His work has also been presented at international conferences and seminars across Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America, and supported by competitive research grants, including Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI) from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
Li serves as an Associate Editor of Economics & Politics and regularly reviews manuscripts for journals in accounting, finance, and economics. At Hitotsubashi University, he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting and corporate finance.
